A Statistic

You’re cold like a computer,
All hard wired, the perfect shooter,
No heartbeat and no compassion,
Making targets in your own fashion,

A judge, a jury and a conviction,
Grouping lives together in submission,
A bloody mess soon forgotten,
A human nature that is all to rotten,

Don’t let me, become a statistic,
Life isn’t so simplistic,
Don’t let me, become a statistic,
Our values aint intrinsic,
But to you we must all be
Some mere numbers conveniently,
Put forward at once to die,
No time for grief no time to cry,

I no longer know my name,
Unit 3k2 part of a powerless frame,
No strength yet all the weapons,
Promised much but left to the heavens,

Seems we’re all got an illness,
But no one is going to help us,
There’s no doctor, no nurse,
Just thieves stealing from the hearse,

Don’t let me, become a statistic,
Life isn’t so simplistic,
Don’t let me, become a statistic,
Our values aint intrinsic,
But to you we must all be
Some mere numbers conveniently,
Put forward at once to die,
No time for grief no time to cry,
